I had a similar idea for wind. When I wasn’t sure if the light fixture cover would work for a skylight, I bought a 5′ length of clear vinyl carpet runner. I use it as a windbreak against one side of the wire mesh on windy days. It’s stiff & heavy enough not to flap in the wind, if I lean a brick or two against it.

Nice job of the coop and congrats on your first egg. Many more to come I am sure. We plan to use clear plastic tarp over our tractor to knock down the wind in the winter and a heated water dish. Keep the videos coming! Cheers!
