I live in florida …
I live in florida with foxes, raccoons, possoms, and bobcats. Run wire mesh, along the ground, going out two feet, but attached to the base. The wire on the side and the ground will form an L, on all sides. Predators will dig right next to the structure and cannot figure out that they could dig under, two feet away. This has worked for me, for twenty years.

my friend buried …
my friend buried broken glass under railways sleeper all around the edge of his coop! he said a fox tried digging under one night and slashed its self to bits

Looking good – lots of space, found with my chickens once they are familiar with their surroundings and get into a routine – they calm right down and think they own the place. They will then lay eggs none stop.

I like this a lot. My wife is bugging me for city chickens and I’m resisting, but I was sure wanting a couple of farm fresh eggs this morning.

I do not know what kind of predators you might have there we had trouble with a raccoon at our last house and weasels are a problem as the can fit through small spaces so you might want to keep that in mind as you close the rest of the coop up. Let me know when you finish the coop and if you post anymore videos on it.

The coop looks great and it looks more the big enough for the chickens and duck you have. You could probably fit more in there depending it you let them out to free range. You will probably need to put in roosts- I use 2×3′s for the hens to sleep on. They like to sleep gripping onto a branch.
