The American Livestock Breeds Conservancy announced the official definition of a heritage chicken. Mother Earth News interviewed Frank Reese, who discusses the breeds of heritage chickens he raises and why he chose those breeds. Reese is well known for the production of heritage turkeys, but he’s raised heritage chickens as long as he’s raised turkeys.
