All any of these chickens need is crumbles and some scratch, I have 4 Rhode Islands and I get a bag of Crumbles for about $20, and a bag of Scratch for about $10, and these bags last me for at least 2 months. If there laying age hens you’ll have to also give them some sort of calcium supplement like ouster shell, I believe the bag I bought cost 7 or 8 dollars, and I still have it after a month. Chickens will also eat just about any table scraps you want to give them, but i think of those more as treats as apposed to being part of their diet, Hope that helps!

This will depend on where you live the price of scratch feed and laying pellets in your area how many birds you have and how you feed them and the age as well.
I have 16 total and it runs me around 24.00$ to feed for close to 2 months and mine are 1 1/2 years old give or take a week or so. I feed them twice a day First thing in the morning and before they return to coop at night both scratch feed and laying pellets with grit /oyster shell Most feed stores carry feed Tractor supply as well. You may feed left overs but this is not the best food source for your bids for a daily feed they require grains and seeds and grit, oyster shell. All these will eat this I have some of these breeds as well Austalorps, Barred rock Rhoda Island , Leghorns, Buffs White rocks ,they are also great buggers like grass clippings, dislike onions, celery, bananas. like tomatoes squash water mellon noodles rice cooked alot of table foods.

Those are all heavy breeds. You would probably go through roughly 50 pounds a week which is about 15 bucks. Also depends on how many you have.
