First on our listing, you’ll find the farm model chicken house. If you do not care a lot about the aesthetics of the house and you just care about the security of your chickens, then the basic box design will be suitable. Sure, it is not so eye-catching, in fact, it is rather unappealing. However, it may be the best bet for you as you’ll just need a number of cheap wooden framing and a few weatherproof material to go over the walls as well as roof. If you’re a farm boy as well as a farm girl, then you most likely have already got all of this stuff laying around. With this method, you will not even have to construct proper nests. If you want, you could make use of cardboard bins, that is absolutely going to cut down on the cost.

Second on our listing, we have now the Urban Type Chicken House. Do you love the ring of the title? You guessed it, it may be lovely, so long as you place some work into it.

If you live in a city space, then you might want to construct one of these. A lot of individuals choose this design because it appears clean and beautiful.

You need to use either pine or hardwood for the frame. It requires similar type as the farm model house, except the lumber will need to be of higher class. For the walls and the roof, you will need to use painted material.

With this, you would additionally place several shingles on top of the roof. This may undoubtedly give a boost to the attractiveness. Maybe you might have a few extra shingles when you fixed the roof of your house or garage that you could possibly make use of?

The floor of the chicken house will call for particular consideration. Selecting the best floors can make a huge difference. Not only with the appearance of the cage, but also in egg yields. You’ll find 3 materials – sand, sawdust as well as straw.

Many people choose to use straw, as usually, it is quite clean. Straw is also simple to replace. The sand would be nice for places which have a wet local weather, because it drains a lot easier. As for sawdust, it’s great for long-term use and is cheap.

Choose the chicken coop design that you think will be perfect for your chickens. The one you pick all depends on the needs you have.
